No such thing as a free lunch...
But no one said anything about a free dinner!
The LBS red carpet continues to be unfurled. On Friday, myself and another local admit are being taken out for dinner and drinks (to the restaurant of our selection) on LBS's dime! Three second-year students who are on exchange at a nearby B school are driving down just to meet us. This is exactly why I've been so enthusiastic about LBS.
I can't wait for Friday night!

I was made aware of this blog today! Glad to see another 2008 LBS blogger. Tell me about it. I went to an alumni event with Dean Tyson on Globalization in the NYC and I was invited for drinks by current 2006 students doing an excahnge at Columbia.
I expect other invites as the alumni who interviewed me has mentioned that he will be notifying me of any events happening in NYC. Excited to see strong alumni and student particpation.
Hey Moe and Angie! The entire LBS community has been extremely gracious. That's really what has set it apart in my mind. Are you both going to the Admits Weekend in May?
I am definitly planning on it! I didn't have a chance to visit the school in person so it will be nice to explore the school and the surrounding area before the crazy period before school starts in late august.
I'm definitely going to the admits weekend in May, even though my sister is expected to have a baby just the week before, but I just don't want to miss it. I'll also be in London in 2 or three weeks and hope to meet up with some future classmates then. Once I know the weekend I'll be there I'll make a post on portal to see if I can get some people together.
